Front al-Nosra (Jabhat al-Nosra)

Branche syrienne de l’État islamique d’Irak, annoncée en janvier 2012 ; a prêté allégeance à al-Qaïda en 2013.

Annoncée en janvier 2012 comme la branche syrienne de l’État islamique d’Irak, dirigée par Abou Mohammed al-Joulani (Ahmed al-Charaa). 1

En 2013, al-Joulani a rejeté l’annonce d’Abou Bakr al-Baghdadi fusionnant al-Nosra avec l’EI et a prêté allégeance au chef d’al-Qaïda Ayman al-Zawahiri. 2

Human Rights Watch a documenté la participation d’al-Nosra, avec d’autres groupes, à des exécutions et à des exactions contre des civils lors de l’offensive de 2013 dans la campagne de Lattaquié. 3

Son inscription à l’ONU (QDe.137) a été retirée le 27 février 2026. 4
