The university was established by Presidential Decree No. 146 of 2026, issued together with the decree creating the National University for Defence Sciences. 1

In the 2026–2027 admission round, its Faculty of Security Sciences and Technical Institute of Security Sciences are listed as “males only”, while its Faculty of Cybersecurity and Technical Institute of Cybersecurity are open to “males and females”. 2
