联合国调查委员会认定，有合理理由相信第76师的个别成员在2025年3月的沿海暴力事件中实施了侵权行为。1 欧盟于2025年5月将该师列入制裁名单，理由是其在沿海地区实施酷刑和任意杀害平民；该师自2023年起还受到美国制裁，自2025年起受到英国制裁。2 3 4

该师曾由赛义夫·布拉德·阿布·贝克尔领导，据报道他已于2026年8月辞职。5
